In the Grey review

Spoiler-free review

In the Grey promises professionals who steal back stolen billions, which raises the more interesting question of who recovers the money after Guy Ritchie steals a production budget. I propose Operation: Ruse de Première: Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal as mismatched accountants, Eiza González as a fast-talking tax lawyer and Jason Statham as an insurance adjuster whose claims expertise includes indiscriminate murder on behalf of studio shareholders. There—I spent roughly as much time developing that premise as Ritchie appears to have spent writing the movie we actually received.

The tagline for this movie is "When billions get stolen, they are the pros who steal it back."

Who gets the money back when Guy Ritchie steals it from a major studio to do this? Guy should make a movie about that.

Call it: "Operation: Ruse de Première" When millions get stolen by Guy Ritchie, they’re the pros who explain it to the shareholders - A team of accountants, tax lawyers, and insurance adjusters race against time to recover the budget from the last Guy Ritchie movie.

There. I spent as much time working on that plot as Guy spent writing this movie.

I want Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal as an odd couple pair of accountants, Eiza González as a fast talking tax attorney, and Jason Statham as an insurance adjuster with a particular set of skills which include indiscriminate murder in service to the studios' accounts.
