One Spoon of Chocolate review

By Joel Humphries · Watched 04.24.26

Spoiler-free review

One Spoon of Chocolate is neither good nor especially smart, but it possesses the underrated virtue of never becoming boring. The story may not withstand much scrutiny and the filmmaking never persuaded me that its ideas amounted to anything substantial, yet it kept moving and kept finding another thing to put on screen. That is not a recommendation so much as an acknowledgment: plenty of better movies have made time pass more slowly. This one fails energetically.
