Pegasus 3 review

By Joel Humphries · Watched 03.24.26

Spoiler-free review

Pegasus 3 offers handsome landscapes and impressive-looking races, then undermines both by leaning so heavily on CGI that neither the vehicles nor the driving feels physical. The thin characters, poor performances and weaker writing leave spectacle with nothing to support, while the film’s two-hour boys’ club barely makes room for a meaningful woman at all. Viewers who want glossy automotive imagery may find enough to admire. Anyone looking for believable people, dramatic momentum or racing that feels connected to real machinery should keep driving.

Pegasus 3 looks good for the most part, and the racing scenes and landscapes are impressive, but that’s about where the praise ends for me. The acting is poor, the writing is poor, and the characters are paper-thin. The movie leans heavily on CGI to the point that none of the vehicles feel real and none of the driving feels real. It’s all spectacle without much substance behind it.

It’s also basically a two-hour boys’ club centered around cars. I honestly can’t remember a single meaningful female character, or really any female presence at all. If you’re looking for strong characters, believable performances, or an engaging story, I don’t think this delivers. If all you want is pretty scenery and racing sequences, you may get more out of it than I did.
