I wandered into Stop! That! Train! only because I arrived too late for Ponyo and found the farce I had wanted from recent attempts to revive the Zucker and Mel Brooks tradition. It packs an enormous amount of silliness and charm into its running time, with original songs, dance routines and RuPaul fully committed to the joke. Where The Naked Gun and Scary Movie strained for this kind of comic momentum, this one simply keeps finding laughs. An accidental screening turned into an easy recommendation—and if RuPaul returns, I am entirely ready for the sequel.

This was really funny. This is a successful attempt to revive the David Zucker/Mel Brooks style of farcical humor that Liam Neeson's The Naked Gun was trying for(unsuccessfully JMO) last year. The same genre space Scary Movie fumbled it's way through this year. This does that genre better than either of those. There's just a ton of humor and charm packed into this. You've even got fun original songs and dance routines in there.
I had no intention of seeing this one, I switched to it only because I got there too late in the afternoon for Ponyo. But I really enjoyed this. I'm down for the sequel if RuPaul reups. I recommend this one for any looking for a few laughs.
