Metro... In Dino review

Spoiler-free review

Metro... In Dino follows so many relationships and moving parts that its most compelling material repeatedly disappears into the surrounding clutter. Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh provide the subplot I most wanted the movie to trust, but the larger ensemble keeps meandering through lives of widely varying interest, with abortion returning as a plot device often enough to become distracting rather than illuminating. Some threads work, others do not and the script never quite organizes them into a satisfying whole. The movie was worth my time; it simply spent too much of that time away from its best people.

I enjoyed this for the most part, though it sort of meanders aimlessly through the protagonists lives. There are a lot of moving parts here, some enjoyable, some not so much. Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh's relationship was the most interesting sub plot. But it gets lost in all the other clutter here and I'm not really sure I understand the choice to repeatedly use abortion as a plot device. Overall, worth my time.
